Sep 18, 2019One of the biggest selling points of the DSplus Newsletter is that it gives your dealership the ability to stand out through the use of custom content. Your customers will be more likely to engage if they see that the communication they receive is unique to them or their community as opposed to a generic email blast.
With that in mind, we want to make sure that you do not miss out on including your custom content because you were unaware of when to provide us with your marketing assets. Below is a rough timeline for each month’s custom content process:
- 4 weeks prior to the newsletter send date you will receive an email notifying you that we are beginning to gather materials for next month’s newsletter. You can respond directly to that communication, or reach out to your AE at that time to discuss your submissions for that month.
- 1 week after that notification is sent is typically the cut-off for us to accept any more copy or images to include in the newsletter. This is due to the amount of submissions we receive each month — our creative team needs time to work on each submission so that we can provide the service we have promised to you.
- About 2 weeks after submission deadline you will receive another automated email providing you a link to review your dealership’s newsletter for that month. At this time, you can make small edits and corrections such as grammatical corrections, swapping out an image that you feel would be a better fit for your message, and altering headlines. We cannot remove an article and replace it with another, or add any new articles at this time. But if you would like to just remove an article, we can do that as well.
- You will have 3-4 business days after the drafts are sent out to submit any edits or corrections you would like to make. Once that deadline passes, all newsletters are finalized and sent out.
Please remember that this is a rough timeline of the process. Each month has a specific calendar made to account for holidays, previous schedules, and anything else that may affect the newsletter.
